I'm excited to announce the launch of "The Thriving Christian Artist" podcast for artists who want to bust through roadblocks that have held them back for years, create the art they love and live the life the they know God created them to live as an artist in His Kingdom.

During each season of the podcast, I'll be sharing encouraging teaching and inspiration from my own journey as an artist plus interviews with both emerging and established artists in every creative medium who are thriving artistically, spiritually and in their business.

You can listen, subscribe and review my podcast via iTunes, Stitcher, GooglePlay or my website www.MattTommeyMentoring.com/podcast

Over the past two weeks, your name has come up four different times, and before that, I had never heard it. The first mentions were in separate artist circles while I was sharing a passion project I’m working on, and both people suggested I connect with you. Then my brother, Jason Clark, shared a sweet post about my art page, and I noticed your name among new followers but didn’t realize it was the same Matt.

It all clicked today when a friend asked, “Have you heard of Matt Tommey?” I laughed, went to look you up and realized we were already connected. 😂 It felt like a nudge to reach out.

I’m working on a project called ARC (Artist Revelation and Connection). I visit artists in their studios and ask deeper questions you won’t find on their websites, focusing on their perspective, story, and how they see both art and life. As a former gallery director, I’ve seen how much connection to the artist shapes connection to the work and I just love artists and their stories.

Each interview is about 10 minutes and designed to feel personal and true to the artist. It’s not a Christian project, though it includes both believers and non-believers.

Here’s my first interview with an incredible mentor artist, Anne Harkness.

I’m filming another interview this Monday with Ann Cameron McDonald, an internationally recognized artist now in her 80s who is still painting every day. I can’t wait for this one. I’d be happy to share it with you once it’s finished if you’re interested.

If you see any synergy, or have ideas I’d love to chat. You may know artists I should interview, (possibly yourself?😊) or I’d simply enjoy hearing more about what you’re doing. Truly no expectations, just following through with my nudge. 😊

Either way, I’m glad to be following along.

Warmly,
Aimee
